Why should I ask?

Do you remember Bob from the section on health challenges. Bob has balance problems. The following is a conversation Bob had with his doctor.

D "So Bob, how is your balance lately? Did you fall within the past month?"

B "Well, I was feeling dizzy every time I took a shower but managed not to fall. However, last week I tripped over a cord in the living room and fell."

D "Did not you see the cord? Or did you just have a sudden moment of muscle weakness that you sometimes experience?"

B " Well, I did not see the cord. Fortunately, nothing bad happened, I just scratched my arm. It could have been much worse."

Do you think Bob has problem only with balance? If not, what other health challenges might he experience?

Early detection of health problems of older adults is critical, not only for starting a treatment plan but also for establishing a care giving plan.
