Output

An output device is any piece of computer hardware that displays output after the computer has processed the input data or information that has been input. It includes devices that help return information to you. Examples of some of these devices are the monitor, printer, modem, and speakers.

Output devices are electronic or electromechanical equipment connected to a computer and are used to transfer data out of the computer, in the form of text, images, sounds or other media.

Output devices convey information from the computer to the user. Increasingly, audio output devices are becoming popular, particularly those with voice output. Be sure to look at the graphics provided for the examples.
